Although Din 1.4547 Half Threaded Stud Bolt has good weldability and can be welded using procedures comparable to those used for welding typical austenitic steels, they are slightly more prone to hot cracking. They require a lower heat input when they are welded. Stud bolts made of UNS S31254 cannot come into abrasive contact with copper or brass items since this would lead to the formation of cracks in the grain boundaries of the stud bolts.
